Our Global Missions
Cents-Ability: Five Cents a Meal
Deltona Presbyterian Church (DPC) participates in the Five Cents a Meal offering, also known as Cents-Ability, a Presbyterian Church (USA) hunger ministry that supports efforts to combat hunger and food insecurity.
Through this simple practice of setting aside a small gift and giving thanks at each meal, members help provide resources for hunger relief and sustainable ministries locally and around the world. Together with Presbyterians everywhere, DPC shares Christ’s love by working toward a more just and compassionate world through this ongoing commitment to “food for change.”
Central Florida Presbytery Partnership with Cuba
DPC participates in Central Florida Presbytery’s covenantal relationship and mutual mission partnership with El Centro Presbytery in Cuba through the Cuba Partners Network, a coalition of 18 religious organizations, including the Presbyterian Church (USA), committed to walking alongside the Presbyterian-Reformed Church in Cuba.
Through mission trips, prayer, and shared resources, this partnership supports Cuban pastors and congregations amid significant economic hardship. Together, we help provide needed resources such as medical supplies, clean water initiatives, and transportation support, while offering encouragement and solidarity to church leaders. This ministry reflects the unity of the global Church and our shared call to proclaim Christ’s love through compassion, service, and faithful partnership.
Ethnos360
DPC supports Ethnos360, a global missions organization committed to sharing the hope of Christ among unreached peoples and tribal communities around the world.
Through this partnership, DPC supports the ministry of missionary partners, including retired missionary Nordass and active missionary McDaniels, who have devoted their lives to cross-cultural ministry, Bible translation, discipleship, and serving communities with limited access to the Gospel. Through prayer, encouragement, and financial support, DPC joins in the global mission of making Christ known and standing alongside missionaries who serve among diverse peoples and cultures.
Wycliffe Bible Translators USA
DPC supports Wycliffe Bible Translators USA, a global ministry dedicated to making the Bible available to people in their own languages. Through Bible translation, literacy efforts, Scripture engagement, and support for local churches and communities, Wycliffe partners with people around the world so that more individuals can encounter God’s word in the language they understand best.
With its headquarters in Orlando, Wycliffe serves as a hub for a worldwide network of translators, linguists, and ministry partners working among diverse cultures and language groups. DPC supports this ministry through missionary Hersman, who serves overseas in Bible translation work, helping make Scripture accessible to communities in their own language. Through financial giving, DPC joins this global mission of sharing the hope of Christ and bringing God’s word to people around the world.
Jesus Ministry ROLO in Guatemala
DPC supports Jesus Ministry ROLO in Guatemala, a Christian organization dedicated to serving children and families living in extreme poverty around the world.
Through compassionate outreach, the ministry provides essential needs such as food, clean water, clothing, and other resources while sharing the hope of Christ. Jesus Ministry ROLO also promotes long-term community development through education, training, construction, and self-sufficiency projects, including agriculture, poultry farming, horticulture, and vocational workshops. Through prayer and financial support, DPC joins this global mission of caring for vulnerable children, empowering families, and proclaiming God’s love through service.
Interserve
DPC supports missionary Stocks in South Asia through Interserve, an international Christian mission organization that serves the neediest peoples of Asia and the Arab world.
Interserve advances the Gospel through both word and action, equipping missionaries to live among those they serve, build relationships, share their skills, and respond to physical, educational, and social needs. Through this partnership, DPC joins Interserve’s mission of walking alongside communities, strengthening local churches, and helping lead people into a lasting relationship with Christ.
Alongside Ministries International
DPC supports missionaries Mark and Melanie Stoscher, who serve in Ersekë, Albania through Alongside Ministries International. Alongside is a Christian mission organization that strengthens local churches by partnering with leaders through discipleship, leadership development, and relational ministry—coming alongside rather than leading independently.
In the town of Ersekë, the Stoschers support a growing network of ministries led by Albanian believers, including a local Protestant church, a Bible school, and a summer camp ministry. Their work also extends into the community through outreach, such as meals for the elderly and programs for at-risk children and teenagers—offering tutoring, encouragement, and practical support to families in need.
Operation Christmas Child
Each year, DPC participates in Operation Christmas Child, a shoebox gift ministry that provides Christmas presents to children in need around the world. Members of the congregation fill shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and personal notes of encouragement—offering both practical gifts and a tangible expression of Christ’s love during the Christmas season.
These simple yet meaningful boxes bring joy to children, while also supporting outreach efforts that share hope with families and communities. In taking part in this ministry, DPC affirms the value of serving children with compassion and generosity, while recognizing that participation in mission efforts does not necessarily imply full alignment with all positions of partner organizations or with every ideological perspective associated with the broader program.
